Book Lovers
Our information sheet coming soon!
Book lovers meet at 2pm on the first Wednesday of the month, in members’ homes.
This is newly formed group runs along the same lines and in parallel with the long-established Book Talk group.
At each meeting, each member has the opportunity to share what they have been reading lately. This can be from any book genre, fiction or non-fiction, with each review presented to the group leading to questions and discussion. We aim to keep the meetings relaxed and collegial, with personal impressions of a book just as welcome as researched background.
We aim to expand each other’s reading horizons, raising our awareness of a wider range of books and authors and to inspire fresh reading. After sharing our love of books, we socialise over a simple afternoon tea.
As we meet in member’s homes and need to give each member present time to talk about what they have been reading, our capacity is limited and we are currently unable to accept new members.

The two Warkworth u3a book groups are currently at capacity so we are establishing a combined waiting list for prospective members. As the two groups are run on the same book group model, applicants to join the waiting list can opt to register for both groups, or given the different timing of the meetings (Book Talk 10am on the first Tuesday of the month, Book Lovers 2pm on the first Wednesday of the month) they may state a preference for the morning or afternoon group. Applications to join the wait list should be forwarded to Nancy Tayles, email book.warkworth@u3a.co.nz
